    I want to upgrade my processor to Intel Q9100 Core 2 Quad Mobile Laptop CPU which has same socket as my laptop has can i upgrade? :confused:

    I'm not super familar with Acers, but I'd say it's unlikely to work. It probably will depend on the chipset/BIOS. Even if it does work, you've got find a way to deal with the extra heat. The 5720 uses 35w CPUs while the Q9100 is a 45w CPU, which will run hotter.

    I actually tried a q9200 with pinmod in this notebook. Not the quad core socket mod obviously thats pretty crazy. Anyway it didn't work, you can't upgrade pm965 to quads easily.
