The Fujitsu P1630 is a light, 9" convertible notebook. All models come with Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor.

My question - would it theoretically be possible to upgrade it to a SU9400, or better yet, a SU9600 CPU? They use the same socket and all of their specs, except for the frequency, are the same.

But would the CPU even be removable, or is there a good chance that it's soldered onto the motherboard? And should the laptop's BIOS be OK with the upgrade?

No, you can't upgrade the CPU since it's soldered on.
