Hi guys, this is my 1st post on here and I would like to say hello to you all.

I have an ASUS A7 laptop computer and it is fitted with an AMD Turion TL-58 1.9Ghz CPU. Can this be upgraded to a faster processor say TL-64 or even a TL-66?

It's a great machine and I don't really want to replace it if I can upgrade it to get better performance.

It's 18 months old now so is worth peanuts, so I would prefer to spend a little on a new CPU rather than a lot on a new notebook.

It runs real cool, and I am never far away from a power socket so battery life is not really a problem.

    Thanks

you should be able to upgrade. You can also try undervolting which will help your existing CPU and the new one run cooler.

I looked at that undervolting but I dont think that is suitable for my AMD CPU.
