Hi so I was thinking about upgrading the Intel Pentium Dual-Core T3400 in my Acer aspire 4730z to a Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 ,but I have never changed out a CPU in a laptop before and needed to see if it will actually work.

As far as taking the laptop apart I can do that much easily I just need to know if the T9600 will work well in a 14inch Acer aspire 4730z.

Also I read somewhere that the Bios may need to be updated ,but I have never updated a Bios before so if some one could post a link to a good guide of how to do that it would help me a lot.

Thanks for your help in advance. :)

Can't do it. GL960 doesn't officially support anything better than Celerons and Pentium Dual-Cores. 667MHz and 800MHz Core 2 Duos work most of the time, but 1066MHz FSB chips, T9600 included, are completely out of the question.
