    Hello everybody!
This is my first post in this forum.
I'm Italian, so my English isnt' so perfect ;)

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L30 PSL33E notebook (it's a old notebook, maybe early 2007)
    It has:

    CPU T2060, FSB 533 Mhz, 1,6 Ghz with 1MB L2
    2x512 MB RAM DDR2
    HD Sata 80 GB
    ATI X200 M
Masterizzatore DVD Mata (latterly, when I burn a CD/DVD, it says "calibration error supply"

So, I want to upgrade these hardware. Can you help me in the choose?
    Thanks a lot :)

Buy a new computer. You are replacing almost every single replaceable part.

Yup not worth it.. just buy a new one and also other than upgrading CPU , hard drive and ram you cannot upgrade the graphics card most likely so just buy a new laptop...

Thanks a lot for the answers :)

Than. I know that maybe it's better to buy a new laptop, but first I want to upgrade this pc ;)

The important things are CPU and RAM (a T2xxx costs about 20-30 €, when 1+1gb DDR2 cost about 30 €, so..)

But what kind of CPU I have to search for?
The T2060 is a Yonah 65 nm CPU.
    From the wiki:

    "Yonah" (65 nm)
    Pentium Dual-Core T2060 1.60 Ghz, FSB 533 Mhz
    Pentium Dual-Core T2080 1.73 Ghz, FSB 533 Mhz
    Pentium Dual-Core T2130 1.86 Ghz, FSB 533 Mhz

    and then

Intel Core Duo T2700 2.33 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2600 2.16 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2500 2 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2450 2 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2300 1.66 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2300e 1.66 GHz
Intel Core Duo T2080 1.73 GHz
Intel Core Duo L2500 1.83 GHz (Low voltage, 15W TDP)
Intel Core Duo L2400 1.66 GHz (Low voltage, 15W TDP)
Intel Core Duo L2300 1.5 GHz (Low voltage, 15W TDP)
Intel Core Duo U2500 1.2 GHz (Ultra low voltage, 9W TDP)
Intel Core Solo T1350 1.86 GHz (533 FSB)
Intel Core Solo T1300 1.66 GHz
Intel Core Solo T1200 1.5 GHz

Which of these can I mount on my laptop?
    Thanks

At some point the every computer reaches the point of diminishing return. Your computer is at that point; it's just too out of date to bother with upgrading. So unless you're in the business of refurbishing old computers, I'd use it as it is, and take the money to put towards a new computer.
