Just got my Gateway M685-E, reformatted and reinstalled Windows, turned Power Schemes to "Always On", installed NHC (didn't work on the Core 2 Duo), and tried every other trick to get the CPUs to stay at 2.0Ghz.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

NHC has an update to allow it to work with Core 2 Duo systems. Try running SuperPI while checking your clock speed...that'll get it working.

The patch? I tried it and it keep fluctuating my multipliers between 6x and 11.5x for some reason.

I'm running two instances of Prime95 right now to see if it works.

Didn't change one bit. And for some reason, my CPU temp is stuck on 42C.

    edit: Whoops, wrong button.

I tried using RMClock and I unchecked the "Enable Enhanced Stop Grant" option in Advanced CPU Settings and that seemed to fix the problem.
