    Hold up a second here

    Seeing there's a mixed bag of reviews towards kryonaut, I decided to look further into the case.

    I bought my very first tube of Kryo around early 2016, the plastic bag has this sticker to indicate that it's kryonaut and some of the spec and whatnot.

    Fast forward to around June 2016, I bought a 2nd tube (that I still use until now), still the same thing with sticker to indicate the Kryonaut specs on the back.

    I continued to use the thermal paste without problem in many laptops and I find the performance to be satisfactory. The tube from June 2016 lasted until now.

    Then around a month back I got a repaste client that accidentally bought Kryonaut (new-ish from 2017 probably a 2016 batch) instead of conductonaut, no biggie. I kept the kryonaut as a bonus.

    Then just last night I got around researching some thermal paste I would want to try out on my KM1 that's coming tomorrow from Hansung!

    I noticed that the specs of Kryonaut on the manufacturer website differs from my package of June 2016 Kryonaut plastic bag!

    Look below here.

    Newer batch 1G tube has a different viscosity rating and specific weight (density)!

    I personally have not had any problem with the Kryonaut bought in June 2016, but with laptops that have bad mounting pressure such as Clevo and MSi 16L13, it might make a lot of difference.

    Thoughts on this?

    I have contacted thermal grizzly to comment on this situation.

    @Mobius 1 I have a older batch Grizzly Kryonaut from early Feb 2016 with 1.5ml / 5.5g

    Spec/weight 3.7g/cm3

    Edit: Spec for same package from Grizzly' website...
    The only difference is 5.55g on their website vs. 5.5g on my package.

    I've never really used Kryonaut - most of my builds have had Arctic Silver on them. Not the best but I can't afford high end paste xD

    I think you could afford $10-15 more on better thermal paste :eek: Over a period of 2 years will the cost be manageable :D

    We have VAT though - and we also have a **** tone of import cost. 15$ turns into 30$ premium here and then you have local currency and income. Average salary here is 300-350$. Quite a bit for a University student like myself :D
