Hi: I plan on using Photoshop CS4 on the Vaio Z and while I am sure everything will run fast and speedy, the screen is a but small. I have a 20 or so inch monitor that I use for my computer, and am wondering if I can connect the Vaio Z to this and use photshop on it. Would there be any problems or major lag?

There shouldn't be any major lag as even integrated intel graphics cards are able to drive external monitors really well.

You'd probably have to connected it by means of VGA

I’m not much familiar with _Sony product lines, but if I’m not mistaken _Z series has either an nvidia 9300M series or Intel 4500 integrated graphics adapter. Both cards are capable of driving monitors of upto 1920x1200 for desktop applications without any lag.
