I have a dell 13 5000 2 in 1. It has the 4405U processor in the bga 1365 socket (i think). Can I install another processor? also, does this chip have GPU on board...I have the 510 right now, I was looking at a mid range i5 or lower range i7 chip with 520 or 620 on board.

I know I swapped the chip in my ole 7720 to a 9300 c2d and it made a big difference.

you can upgrade by soldering another CPU onto the board. Just make sure the board actually supports the new CPU. I've upgraded a few and they always worked, thus far no issues.

As far as I know ur board would support up to Core i7 6500U. If you don't have any experience soldering BGA chips, then I highly advise not to do so.

My good friend is an xray technician...soldering chips is childs play. I have no issues swapping out chips etc, but he does my cap replacements etc because my iron skills are mainly wiring motorcycles I custom build.
