Can I pull the hard drive (loaded Windows XP Pro SP2 and all my software/data) from a Latitude D630 with Intel X3100 graphics and install it into a Latitude D630 with nVidia graphics (with all other hardware the same) without having to reload Windows and all the software/data? If I can, is there any special procedures to follow or can I just install the HD, boot Windows, then install graphics driver?

    Thanks for the help.

Most likely not, even tho the systems are similar.

The XP install is going to be specific to that machine, and if you put it in another it's not gonna really work.

you can try uninstalling the graphic drivers then putting it in the new comp
you might have to uninstall the chipset drivers first too it might cause some problems when you put it in you new comp.
but back up your data first incase anything go wrong
