You can,but you'll have to buy new chips. There is likely no point. Read the sticky about RAM in this forum.

EDIT: What kind of processor do you have, some can not use anything higher than 533. You will be able to upgrade, but the 667 will run at 533.

    link
You will have to buy new memory chips (sodimms) to upgrade the speed.
I doubt that you will see enough of a performance benefit to justify spending the money.

Yes, you'll have to buy new RAM.

If your FSB is less than the RAM's clock speed, the RAM will be downclocked to FSB speed, and it'll actually run an imperceptibly tiny bit slower than if you were using proper speed RAM to begin with.

With that said, even if your FSB is fast enough, you may not notice a difference from faster RAM. The manufacturer usually knows what they are doing when choosing speed of RAM to include with the notebook so you already get the most bang for the buck.

If you are talking about this notebook, you will be able to put 667 MHz memory in it and have it run at the proper speed. I would recommend upgrading to at least 1GB of memory.

The difference in performance is very small between the two speeds. You cannot change a 533 MHz RAM stick into a 667 MHz one if that's what you're asking. It also depends on whether or not your CPU can handle the faster RAM speed.

In my signature there is a "Finding the right notebook" link. Go there and scroll down to the section on RAM. The link you want is there.

EDIT: never mind, David already gave you a direct link. The sticky has been removed recently.
