My laptop is Asus U6E. More info at
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2718705, do you think I can upgrade my current CPU to Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 Mobile Processor "SLB3S"
    2.40ghz | 3mb L2 | 1066mhz Fsb | 45nm | 25watt ?

    Please kindly advise.

While they're both socket M, the P8600 is only compatible with the GM45 and PM45 chipsets, so it won't work in your laptop.

Also, I don't think a 0.2GHz bump is really worth what you would probably be paying..

    Fixed.

But yeah, 1066MHz FSB processors won't work on 965-Series chipsets. Period.

    EDIT: Avatar win, btw.
