    Hello
I want to upgrade my RAM(on the laptop in my sig). I want to upgrade to this. This RAM will be faster @ 667MHz vs. 533.
    My Question:
1)Are both the 1501's RAM slots accesible from the back? I'm pretty sure they are but I just want confirmation .(answered)
Also, any comments on the Cosair Value Select product line?

    Thanks
    Thomas Chace

Yes you can upgrade to the faster ram, it will work fine. And check your manual for the exact locations of the slots.

You can upgrade your memory to the Corsair. As far as speed improvement I can not be sure with out further research. It is a Dell so it is hard to determine if the chipset will support the 6667MHz. It will fit in your notebook and if it has lower latency you may notice a slight difference. Yes, both slots are accessible.

I just spent 10 minutes trying to confirm PC5300 would work, bottom of page gives the tech specs and yes PC5300 Link.

Thomas on a side note when you get can you mix 1X512MB and 1X1GB to see if anykind of "dual channel" is working. We know on Intel it does but AMD don't. Run SiSoft memory bandwidth bench.

Thanks PowerPack & Ithink dual-channel is working (tiny bit faster then 1 DIMM) but, the RAM is PC3200 currently so it doesn't matter a lot.

Still when you get if you could mix and bench put the results on notepad I should be able to tell. PM me if you have any interest in helping me. I don't have different size sticks so can't test on my own.
