No unfortunatley you cannot upgrade your gfx card on your laptop! the best you can do is increase your ram and upgrade the hard drive! or if your on a tight budget upgrade to the lastest drivers i.e catalyst 5.11 from this site www.DRIVERHEAVEN.com. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the only way you can upgrade gfx cards is if their MXM (SWAPPABLE) and those are only in very few expensive laptops good luck!.

Hmmm, i thought that PCI express cards in laptops are upgradeable, thats what i heard...

"As the leader in notebook graphics, ATI is pleased to announce the world's first notebook GPU for PCI Express," said Philip Eisler, Vice President and General Manager, Integrated and Mobile, ATI Technologies. "By adopting ATI's AXIOM module for PCI Express now, OEMs, ODMs and end users can easily upgrade to ATI's future family of exciting PCI Express products for the best in graphics and video."

    ???

Depends, some brands weld it in. Some brands let you upgrade, but you may kiss your warranty goodbye.

Yes, the X600 is PCI-e, but the question is, is it AXIOM compliant? I highly doubt that it is in the LG.

the standard doesnt matter (pci-e) because of the way things physically fit inside the notebook. the only way it's upgradeable is if the manufacturer of your notebook offers an upgraded card for the specific model that you are using. so, when an ATI says it's "upgradeable", that is in theory. you cannot simply just go buy a higher end ATI card and stuff it in your notebook. the BIOS may not support the card. the card may not physically fit inside inside the notebook due to the other components that have to occupy the interior. don't be duped by a one sentence line in a marketing campaign.
