    Bump for me?

I have a 15.4" WXGA in my system.

I was wondering if I could fit something like the above (maybe get a new one) in my laptop.

Would the brightness adjustment buttons and stuff still work?

    Thanks.

Here is a good link to check out:
    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2756

What you would probably need to do first is check the specs on your laptop and see if it is available with a WUXGA LCD. If it is, then this upgrade should work. If not, then this upgrade probably won't work very well.

If this is going to replace the screen in your Hp, than no it will not work. Screens generally only work with one laptop. They are not interchangeable because they have the same dimensions. You need to have a matching connector and correct inverter for the screen.
This is why the ebay seller has stated that it only works with the listed three dell laptops.
The pinout of the screen is very specific, and different manufacturers use different connectors from laptop to laptop and brand to brand. This is why there are thousands of different models of laptop screens.
It really would be nice for them to be interchangeable but they are not.

The screens need to have the same interface and pinout on the graphics port. If the pinouts do not match, than you cant upgrade your screen. Most likely you cannot, since each laptop series usually has a different pinout/ port for the screen to plug into.
