I'm looking at a dv2214us from HP. I tried looking online for the specs but I can't find it. On the Circuit City website, it says 1GB and the RAM expandable to section says Not Available. Also, I don't get the up to 288MB of graphic card memory. Can I change the amount it uses or something? Is 1 GB of Ram good enough for some games and DVD burning on Vista along with the 288 MB that is shared?

Here you can find out how much RAM your PC can take -

Shared memory is when part of your physical RAM is dedicated to your video card and can be adjusted in the BIOS - 2gb should be fine for you -
Most likely it will be a 2X512mb configuration. In that case, you can but a 1GB stick of RAM and replace one of the 512MB one. That will give you 1.5 GB. Since your computer takes system RAM for video RAM, it'd be wise to upgrade. Also, Vista, in my opinion takes at leat 1.5 GB to work properly (mutitask)

you should be able to upgrade it. My advice is 2GBs.
Can I upgrade the memory for this?
