I just ordered (like 5 minutes ago) this (the second choice) laptop from Dell Online. However, my friend has told me that in order to play the games I wish to play, I need to upgrade my graphics card. How can I do that?

And if I can, can I just call Dell and request the change?

On the 1501 you cant upgrade the video since it an Integrated GPU(read the sticky in the Gaming section of the forum) unless Dell offers an upgrade which i dont think they do. Almost 99% of all laptops dont have upgradable graphics.

Depending on the game the Xpress 1150 might be all that you need but new games will struggle(most likely not even playable) on that card.

And Fill out the FAQ, depending on your budget there might be better choices for gaming.

What games do you intend to play? Here's a link to mobile graphics benchmarks. The Xpress 1150 is pretty low on the totem pole.
