My Toshiba satellite 210 has a battery life of about 2 hours. Newer machines go for 6-8 hours. Can I put a newer style battery in a 3yr old laptop?

You could probably get a high capacity battery from Toshiba, made for the (A?)210 though. You can't just cram any old battery in there though.
