    not really. Better solution would be if you lift up your laptop on two pencils :)

    Given your system (Dell Inspiron right?), there isn't much you can do, you'll have to live with it.

    If there's room, it may help a little. You'd need to get some airflow over it. You can get some double stick thermal tape to attach it.

    I use large erasers to prop my laptops up. Definitely a noticeable tempurature difference, around 5C.

    Yes definitely a consideration too. Most laptops by propping them up an inch will reduce temps by at least several deg C.
