I am sorry for the silly question,

but my NP9262 mainboard potential out of order and would like to consider if i could move most parts to a build a new MATX desktop

    I've got 2x 9800M GT 512MB SLI
I wonder if i could put them onto a matx mainboard and make them work.

    Thanks!!!

No, they're different slot types and won't fit.

The good news for you is that any MXM cards worth putting in a desktop will sell online for enough money to buy a desktop card that will outperform them. Let's run some numbers...

Last two 9800m GT cards (single) on Ebay sold for $270 and $275

For that price you could buy dual 4870's for your desktop.

That's roughly 6x the vantage score by selling mobile GPUs and using the cash to buy new desktop parts. Just an idea.

This is basically the direction I was going to take this topic. Even if you could, mobile cards cost so much more, you could pay for an entire new system just selling the cards. You WANT to sell them.

Are we trying to convince the OP to sell??

But yeah, performance-wise talking, if your GPUs are MXM they are worth selling, and getting an ATi 58xxHD GPU...

I think for the price-to-performance gain, it makes the most sense to sell.

    sell.

But you could connect the correct pins with some wires. It's possible but not worth doing.
