If the laptop is upstairs(bedroom) sitting on a Desk but below the room is the kitchen and then you hear hard bashing noises + Could feel the vibrations(If someone was using a hammer and bashing on a chopping board(Stopped around maybe 20 times) from above the bedroom floor like echoing.

It was my brother since he was angry about something and wanted attention

I'm a bit worried because the laptop is fairly new and I'm scared if this can damage the Laptop, components and the HDD

Nothing to worry about (search for a very similar thread not even two months ago...).

nothing short of bizarre that this odd question has now been asked twice within a month. needless to say, Gary, if your attention-seeking brother decided to fire up a jackhammer right next to your desk your laptop would still be fine.

I recall a while ago, someone complained that their laptop would freeze up for a second while playing the music track, whenever he hit a large bump on the road.

Free fall sensor stop the HDD. Won't happen if he use a player that preload file to ram.

OP, shouldn't you worry about your brother more instead of your laptop :p.

Is your laptop damaged by typing on the keyboard?

Didn't someone just ask this? I know they did...I'm crazy, not absent minded.

    Don't worry about those vibrations.

Worry about what your brother is doing in the kitchen.

Ahh, it has. Hyperlinks don't show up well against the default Vbulletin theme. At least I feel better knowing I wasn't hallucinating that first thread.
