I want to ask if I rolled back to previous version of a device driver will this cause corruption or damage to the laptop as after I have updated to a recent version there seems to be some issues and I want to roll back

Definitely should not damage/harm/corrupt anything. The whole reason why its there is in case something is corrupt.

It will not "damage" anything, and as long as the previous driver installation was not corrupt, then it should be perfectly safe to roll back. If you're leery of said driver, you can always uninstall the current one instead, and then load the version that worked - or let Windows load the default driver, if available.
