    You should have no problem upgrading. It may be a bit costly. Once you upgrade, research undervolting, your new processor will run cooler than the older one.

    You can also try to overclock it, it can achieve up to .5GHZ increase in speed.

    How about Overclocking TL-56 (1.8 GHz) to 2.0 Ghz??

    WOW, And here I was worrying if the TL-60 was a concern as far as heat goes.

    I know that turions run a bit warmer then core duos, but if it isn't detrimental to laptops, i guess they aren't so bad.

    Well, battery life is a concern. The faster you go the more life you eat away. Not to mention that in general AMD laptops eat more battery life.
