I've ordered an 8 GB Expresscard SSD for my laptop and ready about the benefits of using Readyboost with it but was wondering if Hibernate will use the memory. Anyone know?

The hibernation data should still be written to the hard disk as far as I know.
ReadyBoost is not designed to read large amounts of data at a time - for doing that, the hard drive is faster. ReadyBoost mainly benefits older machines that have 1GB of RAM or less. If you have 2GB+ of RAM, you're not going to see much of a difference with ReadyBoost enabled. Basically it's a way to compensate for a lack of RAM. The real way to fix that problem is of course to . . . buy more RAM. -
Readyboost cant help for start up , wake up or hibernation. Only ReadyDRIVE can do that. ReadyDrive only works with Intel Turbo Memory and hybrid hard disks so far (and even there doesnt work right).

Thanks for the info. My system is a ZT MS1024 NoteBook Intel Core Duo T-2350(1.86GHz), 14" Wide XGA, 2GB DDR2 667, 100GB 5400rpm, DVD±R/RW, ATI Radeon Xpress 200M IGP
I guess the Expresscard will be nice for travling. I can load a movie on it and cut down on HD and DVD spin while watching the movie.
Can Vista Use Expresscard SSD for Hibernate?
