Im selling this motherboard for dell studio 1535 that has the part number
0M265C. The buyer's question is "My motherboard says M269C on it can I use this as an alternate?"

Generally, yes it needs to be the same.

The only times it doesn't is if the part was phased out with a replacement, such as they had to change the video system due to a problem. The replacement part may have a new number.

The only other time is if they upgraded it, and left the parts all identical, such as a minor revision, however this almost always requires at least a few other parts to make work, such as a new lower casing.

So no, odds are it will not fit.

I believe if they have the same video card (onboard vs dedicated) you can use them alright.
