    hey all i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of hard drive does the alienware m15x have? i got the 120gb one and im thinking about getting another hard drive with more gigs. Anybody know? and if so, can you please tell me where i can find it and so forth, i was reading something earlier about it and it said something about SATA, but i have no clue what that is LOL

    Look in device manager and then google up that model number. Any laptop within the last 2 years will be SATA.

    yea my hard drives a ST9120823ASG 120gb and i searched it on google the only thing that is available is another 120gb, im trying to get something a little more than that rather than just replacing it, any help?

    That is the model number; it is specific to your hard drive. The drive you saw is the exact same thing.

    Assuming your laptop supports SATA II, any of these should work for you, and you can filter them by size if you want.

    i tried taking out my hard drive and for some reason it would come out, i unscrewed almost everything lol and it still didnt come out

    You probably missed a screw. Judging by your model number, you have a Seagate hard drive. Dell/Alienware tends to mostly use Seagate and Western Digital drives nowadays, but as others have said, any 2.5" 9.5mm SATA hard drive or SSD should work.
