    Can chair vibration damage laptop speakers/hardware in this situation?

    We have laminated flooring and while I was playing music from the laptop speakers(35 speaker level while max volume youtube) then my brother suddenly moves his chair which causes quite loud vibration screeching noise and I could feel it in my room floor/desk so I'm wondering if this could damage the laptop speakers/hardware since I'm a bit worried.

    No, typically designs are vibration tested to a point. But basic household stuff no, otherwise devices like your tv that are not designed to be moved around at all would suffer first.

    The speakers would not be affected (at all) but the HDD (if it was being accessed at that exact time) might have been - depending on the direction and amplitude of the vibration at the HDD location...


    I would think though in this situation it was not an issue for you or your notebook.
