Hello. I would like to have an UMTS mini-pcie card instead of an wlan-card. The only problem i see is, that i dont know where to put the simkard inside. Have some of the mini-pcie umts cards an internal sim-slot?
I know, that the internal antennas are for 2,4 ght and umts is 2,1ghz. I have done much umts/wlan tests with selfbuild antennas and the signal streght will be defenetly good enough for that.
The antenna-connectors seems to be on both devices u.fl .

What about using a UMTS ExpressCard? This way you will have both UMTS and WLAN. Sometimes providers will offer the card for free when you subscribe to their service.

I have one Expresscard, one PCMCIA Card, one USB-Stick and an 3,6mbit UMTS Phone.

So is it possible to change the internal WLAN card to an umts-card?
