    Can i use my DDR2700 in a DDR333 or DDR2?

    My screen got cracked by my 3yr brother walk on it,changing it, would cost 60% of my laptop so i wanted to buy a new one. I bought a 1gb ddr 2700 barret and would like to know if i could still use it in a new laptop!?

    Most newer notebooks coming out these days use DDR2. Also note that DDR is physically incompatible with DDR2. Unless you're buying a Turion processor notebook, you'll probably have to buy an older model notebook.

    thanks, actually i was planning to keep using an amd processor. what i found sad is that i got this sodimm for christmas and my birthday as it cost 300cnd...

    One thing I forgot to mention is that Turion 64s are single core processors. Dual cores offer better performance (Turion X2 or Core Duo), so you might be better off just selling that memory on Ebay.

    No you can't use DDR in DDR2, the slot in the memory is in a different spot, it won't even fit physically
