Do I just plug it into my notebook and it increases wireless strength?
-
I'm not sure if it will definately increase signal strength, it probably won't. They claim that it can run upto 140 Mb/s, but it's unlikely to reach that high.

Usually for more speed than the regular g strength, you need to get a router that supports that higher speed as well as the wireless adapter.

even if that thing can crank out 140 MB/s, your wireless router is probably only capable of doing the normal wireless G rate (I forgot what that is). Also, unless you're ripping video and then transferring it to another computer wirelessly, you're never going to need 140 MB/s. I don't even think hard drives read that fast... Sounds like a rip to me.

It won't increase your strength, it's a completely different wireless card. You have one built into your notebook most likely, and you can't use both at the same time.
Can someone tell me what this is?
