    I think that one does not have the internal power connections w/o being connected to a floppy pin connection. Not too sure this would be a limitation for you as well.

    Don't bother. If you're trying to hide a wireless mouse dongle (so it's not sticking out of your laptop), then the way to do it is to solder it directly to the USB port, and hide the wireless mouse dongle inside your laptop body.

    USB 1.1 / 2.0 use 4 pins. Open your laptop, and solder wires between the 4 pins on the wireless dongle, and the 4 pins on the circuit board that handles USB ports. And then voila! You just connected a USB device to a laptop, without having to use the externally-facing USB ports. And that means you can hide the small wireless mouse dongle inside your laptop.
