    Hi all,
I'm not very hot on computing and the technicalities of it all, and I'm getting a new laptop soon.
However, this laptop doesn't have a Blu-Ray drive and I was wondering if I can replace and change this?
    Thanks

    Yes you most definately can.

Just check what size the original is and get a new bluray that has the same size and connector and you'll be ready to rock!

Most drives are easily upgradeable, what laptop is it specifically?

You might have to wait a little. I'm sure the TT uses a very slim burner (9.5mm or possibly less, compared to the standard 12.7mm thickness for notebook burners). Once you get the notebook you can check the specs for the burner.

Any modern dedicated card should have hdcp (if not you can get around it still)
some and actually more like most of the mid range dedicated cards support hardware decoding for HD DVD/BR and that helps but its not the gpu that needs to be up to the task to play the disks its a cpu duty primarily.
