    Hi!

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum: I have a Dell Vostro 1400 and always connect it to an external 20" monitor when working. However, since yesterday my external monitor has decided to ignore any of my attempts at getting it to work  . At first, it only showed a tiny section of my desktop in the top right hand corner, now it doesn't show anything anymore. The monitor does however register that I'm trying to send it a signal, but that's about it. I tried changing the screen resolution, but nothing seems to help.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers!
    Julia :)

If you have an Nvidia Graphics card, you can go to the Nvidia Control Panel and try change some settings there.

You have tried using the int/external screen switch button right?

Thank you very much for the Nvidia Control Panel idea. Didn't think of that!
