    Can't find suitable BD/HD DVD drive for my laptop

    The internal DVD drive that comes with my Sony SZ has 9.5mm height form factor. I have been searching the net to find any Blu Ray or HD DVD internal drive that has the same form factor. Unfortunately, all of them have 12.7mm height and therefore won't fit.

    Does anyone know if there exist any Blu Ray or HD DVD drive for laptop that has 9.5mm height form factor (also known as superslim) ? The drive doesn't have to be able to burn HD or Blu Ray blank drive. If it can just play the disc, that's acceptable for me.

    eurocom sells them seperately, be warned they are VERY expensive from them, the HD DVD is about $700 and the BD is $1400.

    Thanks for the eurocom link. Certainly over price but I took a look at the model number. They have 2. One blue ray drive has no model number, the other one is the Toshiba TSL802A. Googling that model reveals that that model is still 12.7mm height, which won't fit in my laptop. The blu ray one is most likely has the same height, because they are both intended as an upgrade to the same notebook that they manufactured.
