    Hi guys,

I need help connecting my laptop to my tv. I have a s-video to RCA cable and when I connect it to the laptop, the TV flickers for a second and I see the desktop but then nothing. I tried to force a detection using the graphic card utility to no avail.

One thing I want to add though, the connector on the laptop is made for a 7 pin cable and my cable has 4. But I doubt it is the problem because I have an old Dell inspiron 5100 with also a 7-pin connector and I was able to connect it to the tv without a problem.

In any event, I still bought a converter 7 pin to 4 pin, but I still have the same problem. any help would be great.

    OS: Win 7
    Graphic card NVIDIA GeForce 8400

    Thanks!
