I have a new ASUS G53SW laptop and just installed a SAMSUNG 470 Series MZ-5PA128 ssd. I can not get win 7 to load. Changed boot order to dvd drive first and then ssd and put in disk one and rebooted. It seemed to load the disk and then asked for disk 2 and so on. It finishes the 5th disk and then at the end it says Failed to restore disk from the ASUS recovery dvd. I have read a few posts around the web that say something about booting from a thumb drive. I have an empty 8 gig if that helps.
Im not an expert but have built a couple computers and overclocked the cpu's so I can get around a little in the bios.
    What am I doing wrong?

First, instead of having the DVD be the primary boot drive, try hitting F12 to set the boot drive as it boots up. This way, when it wants/needs to go to the SSD/HDD it won't be shunted to the DVD and give an error.

Second, your set of DVD restore disks may be corrupt.

Try once more with the F12 boot option and setting the BIOS back to boot first from the SSD (use the F12 boot option to choose the DVD drive on disk 1).

    Good luck.
