I've got an ASUS G1 as noted in my sig. It has a ricoh sd/mmc disk device. It reads my 2GB SD card fine. It won't read my 4GB microSD with SD adapter. It won't read my 16GB SD card.

I tried the Microsoft hotfix, but it says I'm already running the most up to date version of XP pro. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't want to buy an external reader and my camera doesn't have a mini usb port.

Most likely it won't read SDHC card's at all.

I had the same with my old HP printer.

Well.. I had this problem with my older F3Sv.. The funny thing was, it read the cards just fine with Vista installed..

No luck. That was the MS hotfix which I already tried. Looks like I'm stuck with the proprietary cable.
