I saved the upgrade memory from my old laptop before i sold it. Its a 1GB stick of OCZ
    Model OCZ25331024VSO
    Type 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM
    Speed DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)
    Cas Latency 4
    Timing 4-4-4-8
    Voltage 1.8V
    ECC No Registered/Unbuffered Unbuffered

I am debating on getting another stick to match it. Or get 667Mhz memory since my laptop is gonna be intel due core and supports 667Mhz. I want 2GB total memory.

I guess my Biggest question is it worth it getting 667Mhz. I would like your thoughts. All the 667Mhz memory is only CAS Latency 5. I know thats worse then my OCZ which is 4.

I have checked newegg.com mwave.com and all the major memory websites. They dont have anything lower than CAS 5.
kingston, crucial, mushkin, OCZ... I guess it still too new.

Any1 got any good input on the subject?

Basicly I see that I can get about 70 bucks for my used 1GB stick
    Then 2GB of 667Mhz is 200 bucks!

    OR
keep my 1GB OCZ and buy another for 85

so about 135 for 667Mhz or 85 for 533Mhz.. 50 extra bucks! I think im leaning on saving my dam money. I havnt found any proof that 667Mhz is gonna show me a Performance increase that I would even notice on a daily basis

if you're going to be putting a stick of 667 with a stick of 533, the faster ram will downclock to match the speed of the slower ram, so there's no point in getting the 667 ram. if you're going to replace the 533 ram altogether with 667, it will be faster, but it might not be a noticable difference.

I would get the 533 CAS4 one. I have the 667 and I don't think it's faster. Someone with the same laptop (Sony FE) who has 533 RAM actually got higher benchmarks than me (both with 2GB).

I think what he meant by "both have 2gbs" at the end of quote is that both laptops have 2gbs on them.
