So I used to be fairly well-versed a couple (or more) years ago on technology - I was looking for a new desktop, so I dug as far as I could and understood both components and their different specs, but since the chances of me getting a new computer for the past two years have been zero, I've stopped paying attention to new developments. Now, out of the sudden, it turns out GPU's have shader clocks in addition to the core and memory and they're all replaceable, CPU's have random new names, Intel has and I'm out of the loop once again.
Are there any particular resources you could point me to which would enable me to bring my tech-saviness up to speed without having to read through tons of technical info? Or, even better, could you point me to a resource which will also allow me to understand the technical info? I don't consider myself a newbie by any means, but if the articles are somewhat basic I really wouldn't be offended at all. Thanks for any insight and help anybody can provide.
