    i have a W3-J
    ive been currently having issues when it comes to burning cd's
    i make a playlist i use NERO to burn...it says it burns correctly and everything but when i insert it back into my computer it says the cd is blank...
    any other cd that i have that has music on it gets recognized easily....
    sometimes it will burn what i want and then other times it jus wont burn anythin on to a cd, leaving it blank!

    ive used windows / windows media / nero and other applications to burn but all of them do the same thing...i have no idea what the reason may be but can anybody help me please!!!

    Try updating the firmware on the ODD?

    If that doesn't do it, you might want to try:
    -removing the device in Device Manager, then refreshing, such that the device is reinstalled;
    - burning from a live Linux installation such as Knoppix and Slax (but it should be installed on smth else than a CD, e.g., USB key, because you will need the ODD to test it)
    - a fresh Windows install to eliminate possible software problems.

    If none of these fixes the issue, then RMA...

    If you are just trying to burn a playlist as in music CDs. Try it in Windows Media Player instead (I recommend Windows Media Player 11 if you have an older version.) That way you can also double check if it is the burner, the CDs, or something in between. Which version of Nero do you have?
