Does having a centrino core 2 duo t2450 compared to having a centrino core 2 duo t7100 make a significant difference?

    Thanks in advance

I'm sure the T7100 is a faster processor because of its faster 800MHz FSB.

I'm not an expert with Intel, I prefer AMD.

    Good luck

T2450 is not Core 2 it is not 64 bit, T7100 does have a faster FSB and the newer centrino "Santa Rosa" platform. It should be as fast as the higher clocked T2450 and better with battery life as well as 64 bit capable. Like all things it comes down to price I would pay a little more for the T7100 notebook, but only so much.

If they both have integrated graphics I would pay even more for the Santa Rosa w/X3100 vs GMA950.
