I've had some problems with the CD-DVD drive, a DW-d56a, in my sony a215z and have come to the conclusion that it needs replacing. I've got hold of a replacement drive but don't know how to get into the laptop to replace it.

I've tried unscrewing everything i can find but still can't open it, can anyone help me with how to replace the drive.

    Many Thanks

Try removing the keyboard, there might be a screw under it that is holding the drive in place. or underneath the laptop
