Ok this is just a simple question I have.
Are laptop screens replaceable with different types of screens.

    Let's say I have a 15.4" consumer laptop with a 1280x800 panel.
Am I able to buy a better panel like maybe a 15.4" 1680x1050 somewhere and use that? Also, what about the inverter?

Thanks for info on this subject.

If your model of laptop originally had the option for a 1680 x 1050 panel, you can definitely do the switch if you can find the right panel. If your model of laptop originally did not have the option for a 1680 x 1050 panel, it may still be possible to find a panel that fits, but you will probably have to dig around.
