Hi. I'm bothered about the very reflective screen of my laptop. Is a great machine but I'll always prefer a matte one like that of ASUS G73-3DE. Does one of you tried to replace the screen of DELL with the ASUS's one? Or at least does anyone knows how many pins has the DELL's display? ASUS has 50 pins on connector, so basically is DELL has the same connector, there's a chance to be 'compatible'. Please share your experience is someone have done some research. Thank you very much in advance.

gio, i think the dell lcds (similar to Alienware) come in sealed units (housing with screen inside). If you want to replace it, you will have cut and crack the housing...so please be careful

I did checked on the display hinges, it looks like it can be dismantled, should be like every 'ordinary' DELL laptop, maybe Alienware is considered like a 'Premium' one, also due the differences in prices. I'm just looking to find out if the actual glossy display has 50 pins connector, so it will be a great chance for 'compatibility' with ASUS's one, OK? ;-) Anyway thanks for your answer.
