Ive found a site where they sell modules that is specific for many kinds of laptops that can change native resolution. But how difficult is it to install one of these? It looks like a desktop memory.

AFAIK, the limiting factor is the native screen resolution of the given LCD and am not at all certain that a simple hack would change that, but I never claimed to know everything... -

As Indrek said, if you want to increase the resolution of the internal display, you would have to change the entire display. There are no tricks around this as it is a hardware limit. Now an external display is a different issue...

Another voice saying that there's only one native resolution per panel, and if you want to change that native resolution, you have to change the entire panel.
