    Hey guys,

I just recently purchased a Sony Vaio Z, and I noticed there is a battery care option that stops charging after 80% I heard this is really good, but I wanted to know if it was useful for my situation. I'm almost always plugged into power, but there's a period of about 4-5 hours a day of classes I have in which I have to use battery. Is it smart for me to use the 80% option, and before my class turn it off and charge upto 100% and then when I come back, turn the option back on and charge back to 80? I will be doing this every single day so I don't know how useful this option is to me, will it prolong my battery life still even if I'm turning the option on and off every single day?

Your usage no it will be of little help. Now if it sat for a week or a month at 80% then yea maybe.
