    Hello everyone!

I have a 250 GB internal notebook harddrive that I would like to use externally probably through a 2.0 USB connection. I am overwhelmed at the number of different enclosures that are available.

I would greatly appreciate any personal recommendations that you can give me based on your own presonall experience with this type of hardware. I would appreciate if you could also give me the store or web address where you purchased it. (I live in the USA.)

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

    Andy,

I am not that knowledgable in this subject, but I think I need SATA for the 250 gb harddrive which I originally bought from dell for my XPS 1730 notebook. Would this be correct?

Then, I would go for Rosewill SATA enclosure. It is Al+Plastic, but it does have good reviews. You can check out the other SATA Aluminium enclosures on Newegg as well.
