    Hello.
    I've found this : http://www.kingston.com/ssd/v-series.asp
The 128 GB one is 250 CAD and it comes with an external 2.5" enclosure.
It's not the fastest SSD and the power consumption is a little high in idle...but still...
What do you say? Worth the money?

You know, I was just looking at this the other day, but Google as I might, I couldn't find any information on the controller. Due to the maximum sequential speeds, I'm inclined to think it's Samsung, but if anyone could confirm or deny, it'd be great.

I wouldn't get it unless you can find out what controller it is. The cheapest drives that work well are any indilinx drives (ocz vertex) and samsung ssds (try geeks.com)

Just sent an email to Kingston. I hope that they will answer what type of controller is inside it.

i hope it's a samsung or indilinx. OCZ Agility uses the indilinx and is supposed to be replacement for solid/core. This doesn't look like indilinx in speed though.

He wants a cheap (but good) SSD - Intel is still the most expensive or one of the most of the consumer SSDs.

I am guessing that is it a 1st gen Samsung controller. The price and specs seems close enough.
