the 512GB SSD is 185.85 which $280 AUD but VAT is deducted and with express shipping it's $280 AUD. It retails at $325 AUD in Australia.

so if you're looking for an SSD this might do it for you!

If the same kind of 'specials' are available for the SanDisk Extreme Pro, you can probably get the much better 960GB capacity version for not much more...

And enjoy a better/more responsive platform in anything more than a 'light' workload with more endurance (if needed), more capacity and more sustained performance over time too.

Most 'deals' I see of Samsung products (especially their SSD's) are suspect to me (for good reason). The SanDisk Extreme Pro is still the better drive today.

I am using 850 PRO SSDs in my laptop and I don't have issues with them and at this price it's pretty reasonable I think.

No doubt they are in the 'good enough' category. But like my post above suggests, if the SanDisk Extreme Pro has the same deals offered, it is a win/win for a better price and better performance. ;)
