The question for all (4) members here in the UK, where did you buy your RAM upgrades from? The cheapest place I've found is eBay-?70 for 1024Mb, 667Mhz, PC5300. Have any of you found better deals anywhere else?

Thanks for all the responses. Erm is notebook and desktop memory the same? I say this because I've seen 1024Mb memory that is 240 and 200 pins. I'm guessing I want 200 pins?

No, desktop and notebook RAM modules are different. The notebook modules are less than half the size of regular desktop modules. Notebook modules have 200-pins, and desktops have 240-pins. That is DDR2 RAM, however. You will need to purchase some 200-pin RAM for your notebook.

Im sure theres way more than 4 us here on the forum from the uk ;)

I would recommend scan.co.uk as has been mentioned, they have a wide range of modules to choose from. I havent shoped with them though but I know someone who has and he said they were good to deal with. I have bought a DVD drive from Ebuyer and it was hassle free.

Prices here suck the big one - all retailers. I buy when I visit the USA or get people to send to me.
